What a spectacular post! I did a sort of blogging for dummies over on one of the CPA Marketing forums and I considered it was too simple for them, but the sum of emails I got asking questions just like what you addressed was unbelievable. As young people nowadays we have grown up with computers, but it's easy to forget that even individuals just a a couple of years older have not! Really good post! :)

I agree with sticking with the "basics" advice. Even government contractors are feeling the pinch due to the soft economy. Focusing on providing excellent customer service and reaching out to prospective clients and teaming partners in as many cost effective ways as possible makes as much sense as ever.

MANCON's data and systems issues are common among growing firms. Out of necessity for speed in a rapidly expanding business, manual tracking systems populate rapidly and put firms at risk. The "holder of the data key" is usually the one individual building macro applications, and the multiple entries required to maintain disjointed applications increase the likelihood of error. Informed decisions rely on accurate data, and the Microsoft Dynamics NAV system enables team leaders to step into the "think, plan" business model, and out of the reactionary trap.

So glad to learn about the improved expense reporting functionality. The ability to upload expense receipts is a huge help to traveling field team members.
